Cons: Slow to respond to commands. Remote control has on/off and open/close buttons backwards.

Pros: Great audio and video. Great special features.
Cons: Runs a little warm. Hard time downloading/creating firmware update.
The Bottom Line: I recommend a purchase. It is cheaper than Blu-Ray with the same quality picture, but with better special features standard on all discs.

Pros: Lower price than Blu-Ray
Cons: Lackluster 1080P playback, Absolutely needs firmware update from to 1.3 out of the box
The Bottom Line: For the price I think it's a good buy. If you watch a lot of movies filmed at 24frames the player is excellent in 1080P/24hz.

Pros: Stunning HD picture and sound.
Cons: Long load times, won't accept wireless internet connections; Bluray will win war.
The Bottom Line: Bluray has way more studio support, but if you just can't wait, it's a good machine.

Pros: Great Value and comes with seven HD DVDs
Cons: Slow boot time
The Bottom Line: If you don't want to pay four to five hundred dollars, go with with HD DVD players which cost less than two hundred dollars for Toshiba's HD-A2 model
