Pros: Small, lightweight and extremely portable. Excellent battery life. Color screen. Flash memory improves read times.
Cons: Headphone port on bottom. Wheel edges not well-defined. No separate power unit. No iTunes CD.
The Bottom Line: It is an excellent product that was given a lot of thought and development by Apple. I would recommend it to any person looking for a highly portable music player.

Pros: Tiny, light, excellent audio quality, long battery life. Immune to jarring damage.
Cons: Fragile, easily scratched. Requires protective case.
The Bottom Line: If 8GB is enough space, and you don't need video, the nano is the best player money can buy.
