The Dell 8X DVD-ROM Drive allows you to enjoy crystal clear color, picture and sound clarity of CD and DVD read-only disks on your server. It will also prepare you for future software and large data files that will be released on CD-ROM/DVD-ROM. This drive can effectively read DVD-ROM disks having data capacities of up to 8.5 GB (Double layer), and CD-ROM disks having data capacities of up to 795 MB (CD-ROM Mode 2). It provides users with full optical read capability in one device. Featuring an IDE/ATAPI interface, this versatile internal drive delivers data transfer rates of up to 10.8 MBps on DVDs, and up to 3.6 MBps on CDs.
