Simple, Inexpensive File Server With Limitations

Pros: Simple setup. Affordable NAS solution.

Cons: Possible Windows Media Player 11 Compatibility Issues.

The Bottom Line: OK, with some possible Windows Media Player limitations.

Don't publish the Web access

Pros: - Ext3 filesystem - easy to install your HD

Cons: serious security flaw little noisy no access control for web no response from ADSTech

The Bottom Line: Serious security and support issues. Good for simple filesharing and backups.

Review: Purchased: end of August 2005. When arrived, the install (HD, connections, startup, admin pages) was very simple. For shared fileserver on a local (unexposed) LAN this seems to be a very good choice. Including backups, etc. Fast, reliable, no ...
