3Com FDDILink network adapters provide state-of-the-art performance and fault tolerance. FDDILink adapters allow 32-bit PCI PCs to take advantage of high-bandwidth FDDI and CDDI networks. ??This FDDILink adapter comes with a fiber DAS interface and employs bus mastering and an on-board RAM buffer to meet the demands of network servers and high-performance workstations--transferring a large amount of data with very low CPU utilization. 3Com's FDDI adapters also bring you the capability to protect your mission-critical server connections and increase network uptime. The cards support 3Com's DynamicAccess Resilient Server Link (RSL) that enables 'standby' NICs to take over following a primary NIC connection failure. Combined with 'dual homing,' RSL allows FDDILink PCI NICs to connect to different switches or hubs for additional redundancy beyond what FDDI already offers. Minimize
