  • IrfanView 32
As quoted from their website: "IrfanView is a very fast FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) 32-Bit graphic viewer for Windoze 9x, Windows NT and Windows 2000. The first graphic viewer WORLDWIDE with Multiple (animated) GIF support. One of the first graphic viewers WORLDWIDE with Multipage TIFF support. The first graphic viewer WORLDWIDE with Multiple ICO support"

From my own experience I can tell you that IrfanView is fast. The interface if excellent and feature rich.

    But what does it do?

Irfan is a media browser. It lets you browse through a fold with media (such as graphics, sounds, flash) previwing, editing, renaming, deleting, etc. All in all a very handy program. The only thing I've found close to this for ease was a Kodac picture viewer. But that alas only handled images. This handles images and other media.

  • Media Center Plus™
This program is also a media browser. I have been very happy with my ancient copy of Media Center (pre Win95) for many years. Jasc products tend to be inexpensive without sacrifice of functionality.
