Internet Explorer - I need help with this..

I am not entirely sure if this is a bug, some error or a virus. Certain is that this happened recently to my browser and no antivirus program detected anything wrong with my computer so far.
So here goes: whenever I have to type in the fields, in a web page, everything freezes for a minute. When I change fields or when I press a button such as "Go" or "Search" (as an example, when i seek with Google), the screen gets frozen for some time.
I am almost sure a lot of people got this 'error'... can someone help me with any infomation on it? How I can get rid of it etc.

Have you upgraded your browser? Which version of IE are your using. Which version of Windows? Have you cleared your history and temporary internet files? Also have you run scandisk and defrag recently? Are you running low on resources? (right click my computer, properties and performance tab) Donna
