Booted up today and out of the blue..

IE locks up often and has an error, also loads up slow when I click to open it up. And the same thing goes for all of the other programs that are on the desktop(with the exception of games) and *my computer* as well..not sure what the hell is wrong. I've asked a lot of people but they havn't been able to find the problem/solution to it.

do you have a anti virus scanner.. and if so is it on the latest version and pc is clean ?
also do you have a spyware scanner like Spybot Search and Destroy? - sounds like you either have some nasty spyware or the pinfi virus (memory resident slow release virus)

well i checked my comp and i don't have any viruses at all..the progs run fine except IE i mean I can play any games or anything and still work fine etc

Well I guess i can't even install any -- from any CDs either..not sure exactly what the hell is wrong with my stupid comp

no i do not believe i do..do you think its my mobo like i'm told it could be? It's an ECS motherboard
