Windows XP Media Player wont recognise my CD-R

When I try to copy music files from Wimdows Media Player I get a message saying "No Device Found" although I can burn through any 3rd party software. I have also discovered the same error in Windows Movie Maker and also in XP's native burning environment (Send these files to CD)
I am using XP (sp1) and a LiteOn LTR-48125W burner

I have also had similar problems and have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 installed, which I suspect is the problem (as the problem did not exist prior to installing Roxio). When I contacted Roxio, the gist of their reply was that I needed to choose between Roxio CD burning and Windows CD burning (uninstall Roxio to get Windows CD burning to work). Not the answer I had hoped for, but an answer nonetheless.
