Jordan, Windows 2000 is a very good operating system. However, there is nothing wrong with windows 98 either. You may also find some of your programs do not work on Windows 2000 since it has a different file system. You need to go back to some of your other posts (and there are a ton of them) and follow the directions to get rid of the virus on your system. If you cannot do that, then just get some one to reformat your entire system and start all over from scratch. You will lose anything you have on your computer at this time in a reformat. Also if you are just talking about over riding your present windows 98 with 2000, NO, it will not make the virus go away. You need to follow the removal instructions to make it go away. Once your system is clean, get an anti virus program and keep it updated so that it stays that way.
Also, it would be a good idea to keep all your questons on this virus on one post so it is easier to see what has been done already. Donna
