hello,
Ealier today i was scanning my computer for a virus. When it was all done it told me to re-boot before any changes were made. So i did so thinking that my computer would be free virus's only to notice that after the Windows Xp Logo screen right before you log onto windows re-boots always after that screen. So i turned my computer off totally, and then this little menu poped up says if i wanted to run windows in normal or safe mode or run windows at the last known configuration so i hit the title "Last Known Configuration" and then windows boots up but, it boots up without loading my drivers/vid card i think. Because the screen is very discolord and choppy and the icons and screen is much larger. Please someone reply or send me and e-mail. Cha0sj@yahoo.com

Right click on desktop,properties, settings tab and reset your display. On left, set to your colors area higher, and on the right, set your screen area up to at least 800x600. If things are still too big, then set the screen area up to the next setting. Donna

Donna i did what you said and it still goes back to the 4-bit...i dont know whats the problem thought. My friend that has a really crappy compaq had the same problem and called compaq, they told him to put it into safe mode then they gave him alot of directions and now his computer is fine :(. so i dont know whats up with mine. My vid card is in and everything...GOD I HATE XP. Should i just re-install xp???
