need to your help for some problems!!

At first I have many files in window whose name's Folder.rb0, I don't know if I can eliminate this files manually or if it's better to let that like this. At second I have a problem with Active desktop (I think the problem come from active desktop). I can't put wallpapers and the wallpaper who I'm oblige to have is really strange when I close a window, the pic rest on the wallpaper ( I don't know how explain, it's so hard and my english is weak, sorry). I tried to updating A.D. but I have the impression that's useless. At last, I make a control with Ad-aware and this software find some virus, I put all in quarantaine. But now when I start my computer I have an error message who say a file .DLL is nowhere to be found, the file is EGNENSIGN.DLL. I must restore all the files in quarantaine? I have window 98 first edition. Thanks in adavance if somebody can help me.
ed 08/02/03	rb0 file extention is an antivirus file backup Perhaps it wouldn do any harm to delete them but I would recomend keeping them. Did you misspell the dll file in your post? I dont know of any egnensign dll. A program/service or process you have loading when windows starts is calling for this dll and it is no longer available as ad aware has cleaned it. You have a program that needs this bit of spyware to function and it is loading at windows start up. To find out what is loading at start up press start/run and in the box type msconfig. You will see a tab labelled startup. Here you will see a list of things that are starting when you turn on your computer. Some things are required for windows to function so be carefull. Go to this address and learn more. One of the things listed in your msconfig is calling for this dll malware and you should rid yourself of it. But if you have kazaa or grokster or other malware it wont work after the cure. check out http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

ed 08/07/03	you've got some spyware on your system. Gator, backweb, accelerators. Go to webattack.com find a free file called adaware, then download it, update it and run it. let it fix the problems it finds. Update your virus scanner and run a complete test. You may find that after you clean the system with adaware that the program that infested your machine doesnt work anymore because it relied on the bug.
