Try going to the Windows UpDate site and make sure you have all of the Windows ME security updates and the IE updates for your version of Internet Explorer. Updating the Internet Explorer files may just sort the mess out. Microsoft released a new version of URLMON.DLL last march (6.00.2800.1170) for IE 6.0. If you are up-to-date on updates and have IE 6.0, then you could try to repair IE. Goto Add/Remove Programs and find the IE 6 entry, select remove and then the option to Repair IE.

When I try to download things from the Internet I get a URLMON.DLL error message. I have tried going to Windows UpDate to download the updates but the error message comes up again. I cannot replace the dll file nor can I replace Internet Explorer.
I have Windows ME and Internet Explorer 5.
Any help would be appreciated.

After installing Avant Browser 8.02 (Build 107), in my equipment [Pentium I 133MHz, 048MByte of memory, Windows 95 OSR2 -spanish-, 1.2GByte hard drive]; it refuses to run. Givin an error message: the AVANT.EXE file is `linked´to an URLMON.dll:CoInternetGenSession of export that does no exist.
