how do i disable my firewall?

i have compuserve as my internet provider and i use aol instant messenger to chat with. i can send and recieve images on aim but i cant use the "talk" option. a dialog box pops up saying im behind a firewall. ive looked in all my menus but i cant find anything about firewalls and i dont know how to disable them. can someone help me? ill love you forever!thanx in advance!

I'd call Compuserve, ask them if they are behind a firewall & how to handle the situation
If it's a personal firewall you have installed [I use Kerio] you can right click on the icon in Systray [lower right of screen] & click Exit or Disable. Remember if you do you will no longer be protected.
