I keep getting a blue error screen when I close from the internet. It says:
IRQL_DRIVERS_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO
Then when I reboot my machine I get an error report message saying something about a mini dump and a number after it. the number is not always the same.Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Since this message is quite general, you'd better post back with your operating system and hardware configuration.

It seems that a kernel-mode process or driver attempted to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.

Post back, or take a look at:

You say you use windows XP. How did you install that system? Did you do an upgrade or a clean install? If you just bought the computer you should contact your retailer.

With hardware configuration I mean:
- type of processor (pentium, amd etc)
- speed of processor (MHz)
- size of HD
- type of motherboard
I think your problem is caused by incompatible hardware in windows XP. You should include a list of ALL hardware you have in order to determine wich part is causing the conflict.
If you dont know how to include all this information try the following steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type msinfo32.exe in the Open: box, and then click OK.
2. On the Microsoft System Information window the Left pane will show System Information already highlighted, if not, click to select it.
3. On the menubar, click Edit> Select All>Edit>Copy to select and copy the contents of Right pane

Again: good luck!

Niels.

Well, I seem to be in big trouble, I have tried everything possbile, But i keep getting blue screens, On my XP, I don't think i have bad drivers, But i would like to hear more about the Meaning of IRQ_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL, You say this happens while the computer tries to access a place that it is impossible for it to access, So practically, this is not suppose to happen while i am not connected to the Internet, Casuse i have a Home computer, No Work-Groups or Administration Net.

Be happy to get some kind of Reply.

Thanks in advance.

In the BIOS:
Advanced > Chip Configuration
- SDRAM Configuration > from By SPD to User Define
- SET SDRAM CAS Latency > from 2.5T to 2T. (apparently 2.5T is quite unstable...?)

Works fine for me after 6 months of search a solution, believe me, it`s the solution

( Sorry my english =) )
