Explorer.exe error

Everytime I restart my win 2000 Pro system, I get a message that Exporoer.exe cannot shutdown and if I manually close it I will loose data. So I must manually click on the "cancel" button to get my computer to shut down or restart! What can I do to elimminate this problem?

HI! I've got the same problem.My computer restart when i want to open a program.First It say ask me if I want to send an error file to microsoft.It doesn't stop this.C:/Program Files/Sqwire/21256/p.dat.
I don't understand this??
