lame question, but how do i get rid of the colored box around the names of my folders and such on my desktop? i have a wallpaper, and the boxes are making it look terrible. thanks.

Go to Start, Control Panel or vice versa (depending on your version of Windows). Double-click the Display icon, there is a tab called Appearance. This might be where you make the kind of changes you are seeking. Depending on your version of Windows, you might have to look for an icon Desktop Themes in the Control Panel, and there should be a tab where you can make the same adjustments.

depending on your version of windows. Look for a download 'transparent.exe' at cnet download.com or webattack.com works fine for my w98se
