I keep receiving powerpoint attachments in emails, but I don't have powerpoint; how do I open these attachments.

you need to have ms office/or just powerpoint installed. I think there is a free program available that is compatible with ms office formats check webattack.com for an office suit that is compatible

OpenOffice.org has a complete open source office suite. I have totally switched from Word to their writer. They also have PowerPoint type applications.

Otis: Do a Search for *PowerPoint Viewer 97*. It is a free download at Microsoft for viewing only of PPT & PPS Presentations of MS Office 2000 & 2002. It's worth it the time & effort.
