system resources are at low to mid sixties, gdi 70 to 74% - I read somewhere that this is too low. How do I fix this? Have already deleted temp files, recycle bin, disk clean (in Accessories), and defragged.

yes it is very low. you should have at least 256 of ram. You probly have a ton of programs loading at start up go into their settings and uncheck load at start up (words to that effect) To find what is running at start up clock start/run type msconfig go to start tab do not uncheck things here! go to each program except scan reg, ptsnoop,mouseware,system tray,drop handler (system things)and change their settings as i sed.
