Getting rid of HideWindow infection

I installed a DSL modem last weekend and picked up a 'trojan horse' [?]. I was able to run McAfee and heal the virus. Apparently, as part of it, it installed a HideWindow command somewhere in my system. No desktop, icons, Start button, or task bars. I can access and open all files/programs on my system through the 'New Task' button on the Task Manager [control-alt-del] What do I do to eliminate the HideWindow command and restore system back to normal? Running Windows 2000 NT

What if I wanted to remove it myself? Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

I found it in my folder C:\WINNT\system32\vong.exe I don't know if it's always called vong.exe, but maybe if you did a search for a file by that name you would find it. It's worth a shot.
