I deleted everything I could find with AOL Instant Messenger on it. Now I want it back. What can I do? I've tried reinstalling it and I get this message: "This install has detected that you already have an instance of this application running. Please exit this aplication before installing. To exit this application, right click on its icon in te system tray (THERE IS NO ICON IN THE SYSTEM TRAY). That's where my problem starts. What now? Please help if you can.

sounds like you just 'deleted' willy nilly whatever you found. To uninstall things you must use add/remove programs in the control panel. Normally I would recommend reinstallin the program to uninstall it but.. So now you have processes running that indicate AIM is running. Do this this time this is not to be used willy nilly DO THIS press start/run/type msconfig open startup tab and find AIM take the checkmark out.
press OK. Now press control alt delete at the same time in the window highlight aim and choose end task. Now try and reinstall aim.
