This is a virus possible trojan..try going to www.lavasoft.usa.com and downloading the adaware tool for the popup blocker to stop the popup advertisements...also go to www.housecall.antivirus.com and click on pccillin on the left and then on the left download the free trial to your desktop..once downloaded run it and install it in windows from there it will detect any viruses and remove them or put them in a quarantine folder...if you use kazaa you may want the popup blocker and also detect the virus..

That's weird because I have PC-Cillin running all the time and it's updated automatically. Also have ad-aware. It only pops up when I try to install or uninstall programs that (from what i've read) are using 16 bit programs.
Can't find help on this anywhere. There are articles on different modules but not about wowexec causing a fault with krnl386

WOWEXEC is a Windows on Windows issue .. Usually means you have a 16 bit application that is acting up ..

Unfortunately there could be a lot of reasons for the problem .. Troubleshoot it first with looking for an older application that is running or trying to run ..
