cant open any notepad files

I get the error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc005) Can anyone help?

try start/run/sfcrun this and system file checker will notify u of any changed curupted/deleted files try reinstalling any items regardin notepad from disc.
Also may try contol panel/add remove/windows setup and find whaere notepad is and uninstall, reboot go back and check off notepad again and select have disc
