I get this message on start up every day:
Cannot find device file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application. Windows registry file or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists. If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program. If you still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.
My computer is attached to another via a router. My boyfriend was messing around on the other computer trying to configure something so that I could print from my computer onto his printer. I have no idea what he did and how to get rid of this message :(, nor does he. Any ideas?

Ok I did a search in my registry for "bryan" and got back 12 results. Do you know which program it is that uses these files. I see nullsoft so I'm guessing its for winamp, should i just delete everything found in the search?

Also I notice one of the results was "sp.dll".
Isn't that spyware? I ran ad aware and it didn't return anything on that file.

I am having this same problem except that it goes from this stupid message screen to a blank wallpaper screen. No icons, no start buttons no nothing. Have I wiped out my entire system?
