Hello,
I installed McAfee Virus Scan 6.0 in my Win XP Pro system and when I tried rebooting I got a message that my data in drive E had not been saved. I unistalled McAfee and tried rebooting to see if the problem would be corrected but it worsened instead.
Xp would not start at all until I went to the BIOS and disabled IDE#2 which handles my CD burner (drive G) and a CD ROM(drive H).
Now I can go into win XP but I can not use my CD burner and CD ROM. If I enable IDE #2 XP will not start at all. I heard that McAfee has caused this kind of problems before.
Does anybody know how to correct them?
