Dave, I experienced the exact same problem. I solved my problem by upgrading my nero burner rom from v5.5.7 to the lastest release on their website v5.5.10.20. I also upgraded my InCD to the lastest release on nero's web page. I just recorded a music cd this morning. Here is the link to the rom update. Good luck

Hi,
I have been having the exact same problem. And i tried installing the latest release. Once i did that, it seemed to have got hold of my entire computer. It just started running too too slowly. it would like take a whole day and still not load windows, that slow! i then had to go into safe mode and uninstall the latest nero and then everything was back to normal, except that nero still fails with the same error! any ideas/suggestions?

Hi everybody!
I was experiencing the very same problem, causing also some system unstability after the first blue screen.
I tried cleaning (with the cleaning tool) and reinstalling, updating, without any good result.
Finally, I worked it around... and it was so SO silly that I felt somehow stupid for not discovering it myself. (I should have seen it before, since I am Systems Analyst and work a lot with computers.
It was solved after disabling DMA access, and automatic CD-in report from the CD burner. You can find this options in control panel > system > device manager > CD Rom > double click in the burning unit > disable automatic notification, and DMA (direct memory access).
Hopefully (like in my case) it will work.
If you find this usefull, please take into consideration all the people that is having problems working around, and post this solution in other forums.
Best regards!

Hi Eugenio. Maybe you will never come back to this forum, however, I want to thank you as much as possible!I am an ordinary girl, not a Systems Analyst so, perhaps, I would have never been able to solve this very same problem by my self. You can't imagine how long I had been experiencing it before reading your solution-which worked perfectly on my pc! I think the easiest solutions are the most ingenious. Best regards,
Elly (from Italy)
