Message that prevents the computer from shutting off automatically:
cpqfwag has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Any ideas what to do about this?

If you have a compac computer this runs diagnostics when you boot. You may want to run system file checker to find any changed or currupted files If a currupted one is found then you will choose restore and insert the disc or cd. Other files that have changed or been deleted well you can choose to update record or ignore depending on you. The file checker is found start/programes/accessories/system info under tools.
or just start/run/sfc and enter
