Most of my games play the intro and then as they switch to play I get kicked back to my OS XP Pro.
My computer is a Gigabyte GA-&VA mboard with a AMD XP2100+ I have 1g of DDR ram 2100. I have a Gforce 4 mmx440 Vid card running 41.09 drivers. there is a thrustmaster force feedback joystick and a z73 printer. My friend has exactly the same system and his runs fine but mine well I'm ready to chuck it out the door.

Thanks

" My computer is a Compaq presario 8000.I have 512mb ddr ram. My video card is a Gforce 4 mx420 ,64mb. I've got the 41.09 drivers. Can't find any solution. Please help.

Are 41.09 drivers XP certified or are they beta drivers? I can't remember. I played mafia on my geforce 2 mx400 with no problems. I believe I was will using the last xp certified drivers.

My Xp works ok with mafia. Older games that are not certifiesd for use with XP may not work. Crashes will mostly occur when loading (new levels)

Don't forget that some games have a problem with NTFS (file system format) and prefer FAT32. WinXP defaults to NTFS unless predefined during the initial setup to the hard drive. Just because the game says it is compatible with WinXP, it doesn't mean that it is compatible with the preferable NTFS (file system). Generally speaking, the game should work fine but you may experience random lockups or timing issues along with other anomolies. It is known that older games which have really intense graphics work better in a FAT32 environment. This might also be true for some of the newer graphically intense games out there...but not likely.

If all else fails, try this approach. Good luck.
