Hi,
I have been infected with this problem that appears to be common these past few days.
Whenever I use Internet Explorer (not Firefox - it works fine, with no problems), I have random words appear in green text that is linked to ads. When I do any kind of search I get popups to popupsearches.com. I get popups simply from opening IE. Occasionally, I will come back to my computer to find icons on the desktop to things like gambling sites.
I have run AdAware and Spybot, to no avail. I have also run the uninstall program on popupsearches site, and, while it fixed the problem for a few minutes, it returned quickly. I went to Add/Remove programs and got rid of ShopatHome, but a few days later it reappeared. I also have some program in my Add/Remova list that may be related, call My Way Search Assistant, but when I click to Remove it, I get an Error message, stating "C:\PROGRA~1\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\desrcas.dll The specified module can not be found"

Hi Missor:
There's not too much to this fix, letsget to it shall we?
Go into your task manager to the processes tab and end these if running.

farmmext.exe
Next fire up hijack this and do a scan only, and place checks next to these.

Thank you so much for helping! Already, the problem appears to be fixed, as IE is currently running with no pop-ups or green text.
I could only do some of your instructions.
Neither of the processes (fhbxlmu.exe or farmmext.exe) were running.
On my next HiJack This scan, I could fix both the 02 entries, but the 04 entries were no longer there to fix.
The file deletion didn't go exactly as planned either. I couldn't find nso87.dll at all. For farmmext, I only found 3 .inf files in Documents and Settings, which I deleted. For fhbxlmu.exe, I found it in Windows\Prefetch, as opposed to Windoms\System32, and I deleted it.
