removing Gator software

Hi,
recently I tried to get rid off all the Gator software that got installed with some other programs (didn't know that, until I got the annoying pop-ups). But running Ad-Aware still shows me that Gator somehow manages to stay in my system (namely regedit entries).
Can anyone tell me a possibility (tool, registry edits, etc.) how I can remove those annoying remains of Gator?
thanks in advance,
Walter

I made that fatal mistake myself. Download spybot, search and destry... you'll be amazed at the stuff you'll find on your system.
Just be careful, if you have Kazaa, there will be some files that are needed for it to run properly (I suggest Kazza-lite.. no spyware)
Run the spybot, and fix all the problems that it automatically checks for you..

To help with those annoying pop-ups.. try a free pop-up stopper
www.panicware.com
just remember, if it is running, and you need to open another window or page, you have to hold the ctrl or shift button down, or the popup stopper will keep it form opening.

removing Gator software: popups
if u want to remove popups for real, use the Mozilla browser (http://mozilla.org)
it has an option that says 'Supress popup ads'.
Why lame IE can't do this I have no idea...
