My solo 2500 won't turn on, either (display?)
Leigh mr_peanut0@hotmail.com 02/10/03	As described in the thread a few below (with no real answer), my Gateway Solo 2500 will not turn on. The green power light will come on, but the screen never lights up and there are only a couple of 'disk reading' type noises - nothing to indicate that anything has really started up. It was mailed 2-day priority mail (well cushioned!) to me from my dad, for whom it functioned perfectly well just a few days ago. I'm getting extremely frustrated. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
ed 02/10/03	If you can get to another computer perhaps go to gateway site and find a forum to discuss problem with other users the laptop may be going into powersave mode right at startup but should awake with a role of the wheel or tap of a key. When you first turn on the laptop try repeatedly tapping the F8 key thereby trying to start it in safe mode. Sorry but it sounds like the moniter needs a repair shop.
