I got the following message when running a visual basic 6 program:
PROGRAM caused an exception 10H in module MSVBVM60.DLL at 015f:73444b1a.
I've looked everywhere for an answer but have found none. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If you have norton utilities installed their update takes care of this issue if you have script blocking enabled

Hello Ed - Your suggestion worked. I am including the note I left in Extreme Visual Basic Forum, using your suggestion:
It took a while to correct this. Oddly, it worked on one Windows 98 system, but not another, both owned by the same household. They are in Canada, I'm in the USA, so that made it more challenging. As it turns out, the problem appears to have been with the virus checker. I use etrust EZ Antivirus, and so do they. EZ came out with an update to their software a number of months ago which included an auto update. I installed it and had enough problems that I deleted it and went back to the previous edition, which works fine. I mention this because one of the 98's used the old version, and the troubled 98 used the new. When we turned off the EZ new version, the problem went away. I regret that I do not have a sequence of events to describe, as many approaches were tried, but that seems to have been the problem. I certainly wouldn't have thought so.
I may mention another problem, also confusing. I got a "field too small" error, runtime error 3163, though it worked fine before. No changes by me to any field size. I had added several fields to the table when I created it in the event that I needed them during testing. A need for a new field came up and I renamed an available field using Visual Data Manager about a week ago. That seemed to be the only difference. So I deleted the table and recreated it and it worked. Who would have guessed?
Thanks for all the help and suggestions, it's much appreciated.

This is caused by VB applications using the Coolbar Control. The only fix I know of is to obtain Visual Studio service pack 4
