Youve got gator on your system and it's incidious go to cnet download.com or tucows or webattack.com find and download a program called spybot search and destroy and run it, when it is finished scanning click fix selected items and it will clean out spyware like this. Only clean what it checks automatically . If you do't have a firewall running get on, Tiny or zone alarm. In internet option go to security tab click restricted sites click sites and add gator.com

Thanks for the advice..I downloaded the spybot program as you recommended. The main program that came up during the spybot search of my computer was Backweb...So I removed that, but the Gator program did not show up or get removed. Is it possible that the Gator program is lurking/hiding somewhere still in my computer?
Thanks,
Annie

you mean it's still happening after running spybot?
If so explore your temp files, temp internet files and cookies for gator and just delete any reference. For the future put gator.com in the list in restricted sites.

delete the GMT.exe files in your program files and in your common files. or you can turn it off in your task manager program.
