Able to share directories but not CDROM drive
Zoe zoe@solien.com 01/13/03	I'm able to share directories in our W2K network (we don't use DFS). However when I've attempted to share CDROM drives or DVDROM drives, I am not able to access those shares. I can share them and in Windows Explorer they appear to be shared. But when I try to access it from someplace in the network it says access denied. I set permissions to Full Control to the Everyone group, but it still yields access denied. What's the deal here? Is there some weird network setting I need to change?

Pereira 05/01/03	This is caused by INTERACTIVE Groups A solution would probably be to set the following in the registry of the machine sharing the CDROM HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Value: AllocateCDRoms = 0 logoff - Logon that machine, should sort you out
