Computer crashes During gameplay

My pc seems to crash when i run games...Sometimes it takes 1 hour sometimes 10min to crash. I checked my cpu temp.. It runs under 40*C So i dont think thats the problem..im guessing its my 3d card...Just wanna get a opinon before i go out and buy a new one.BTW when it crashes I cant do anything at all..the computer just freezes and thats that..I just have to hit the reset button to reboot.

Mike: The first thing i want to address is no anti virus, WHY! WHY! WHY! its so easy to get infected and you are running wide open. May i suggest getting this great free one here.

Now onto the second part what game is it? Is it graphics intensive? Is it a intigrated graphics card or a stand alone like a G-force or something?

well first off the anti-virus is only because I just formated my pc after having a ton I mean a TON!! of spyware stuff that wouldnt go away even using norton..It just couldnt delete them for somereason..So im gonna have to reinstall it soon..Now motherboard..Dont know what i have anyway to find out?? my 3dcard is a Nvidia Geforce Fx5200 128mb ddr Made by MSI.
The game I play is world of warcraft..this happened with other games as well not only WoW.

Mike: I can see mutiple problems with this log, lets get rid of the first one. Go to the left of the forum up to the top to the links and click on remove new dot net. Follow those instructions carefully and post a new log please.

Mike: It seems i keep running into people today that don't have a antivirus running, and i still can't believe there are so many.

It will arrive by e-mail be patient it will show, set it up how you like but make sure it runs at all time, in the backround.

Another question i have is do you overclock your system?

Ok fire up hijack this and place checks next to these and press fix.

Ran virus scanner..and then fixed what you told me to fix..BTW the virus scanner found 3 and only could remove 2 infections.

The reason i ask about the overclocking is you have a file in there associated with that. Are you still having problems with your computer when playing games? A couple more questions when playing these games are you running through a router at all? Although you say you don't know how to overclock did a buddy possibly set it up, that can also cause crashes. I ask these questions more for my own benefit, as i have also played some intense games and have finally got it running smooth. I have to turn my router off all the time when i play and had to change my graphics card and even burned up a couple of fans along the way. Just trying to give you suggestions other than buying a new card. Did our assistance with the hijack logs make a difference? Ok...enough questions. Geez....look at that!!! In my own ramblings I almost missed something important, you are way! way! past due for your updates, that may solve some of the problems your computers been giving you. Just go to www.microsoft.com and get those updates taken care of.

To answer some of you questions..Well I dont know tons about computers but i know a little..So in order to save some money I built my own PC about 2 years ago id say? might have been longer then that, and had no problems..I put dual Cpu's in the computer thinking at the time it was better for gameplay (not so sure now) from what i hear dual cpu's isnt made for gameplay for servers??? but like i said i dont know much so I was guessing at the time...The program your talking about is it a CPU temp program? if so i did that only when i heard that computers crash from over heating and mine was crashing. Now I still think it was worth it since i spent about 450 bucks to build this whole PC..and it ran fine for 2-3years. umm lets see...Not sure if it crashes with the games I work to much to play often so ill have to do that now since im at home. and im gonna update drivers before i proceed...thanks alot for your help!

me too im playing 1942 and halflife keeps freezing and sound loop although plays call of duty mostly ok.ive swapped my card ati 9800 pro into another machine and plays ok, ive put my old card into my comp and again thats ok.i have amd 3200+cpu, foxconn 600a01 motherboard 3 weeks old and 1 meg memory.installed new drivers. please help

I havent talked here in a while but can it be a router if a blue screen comes up. And my brother Amar wrote it down and posted it and they said it might be the video card. But its not because i bought a new one and it still crashed so i had to return it. John L said it could be the router and i do have a router. Another question is If it is the router can i just use a ethernet hub?

I too play WoW, and also expierence the frequent crashes that disable all funtionality of my computer forcing me to restart. But we are not alone, This is all over the World of Warcraft forums and the developers are aware of the problems.. Just letting you know!

Ya but its not only WoW that u have this problem on. Its on counter strike, halo, Black hawk down, and more. So i want to know since its not the video card because i already bought one and it still did that is it the router as John L said it might be. If there are more things that can do this please tell me.
