My yahoo messenger is giving me multiple email warnings but when I go to my account there is no email. Weird. This has been going on for weeks now. Any suggestions ??

had the same messages as Sanjay & Lita only downloading REGVAC & ZONE ALARM witch would download but not install. I hadWIN PATROL [free program] on my comp and noticed a program in my regestry WASHINDEX.EXE. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Service Once>>>Path C:\Program Files\Washer\Washindex.exe>>> deleted this program, everthing is ok now.PS also had access violation>>fatel exception oe>>>general protection fault popups also.

My Yahoo Messenger started going crazy and in the end I had to clean it all out. Now I can't run the new down load. I get three "this programme has performed an illegal act ( it should be so lucky!) and will be closed down" then a pause and a fourth message the same comes up. I am sure it has been gradually going nuts over some weeks because people say they have not been able to contact me. Anyone out there have the same problem?

I did the same as Douglas when Yahoo Messenger wasn't working properly. Now, trying to install the new version gets me "Could not open the DLL library for the dll YverTr.dll." I have Windows 98. Tried Scan Disks, Defrags, Virsus Scans, moving the Dll manually, nothing works. This web site is the closet to anything I could find on the subject in Google. Any help would be appreciated.

my messanger is not working at all . It's gone off my taskbar or when I try to use it the hour clock come on and disappears. So I tried to download the new one, it worked for a couple of days but know I'm back to square 1

I click on view profile and it said, "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an associating in My Computer by clicking View and then clicking Folder Options." and i am missing the YVerTr.dll file i tryed to reinstall it and it told me that. Someone plesa help me.

Why am I getting that and can it be fixed? Never had that problem before. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. But am still getting that error message. Please help :)

Email me if you too short out your messenger erorrs If basic stuff about yahoo to do a clean uninstall means and any operating system is use the add and remove programs adn uninstall mesenger then you go to my computer, click c drice then click program files ,then u see the yellow yahoo folder rigth click and delete the folder click ok the return and reboot your syste m or restart and try and redownload yahoo messenger tip when u redownload refresh the page then try Some of the problems your having can be solved throughthe yahoo messenger help pages but u continue to have problem contact me on yahoo or email

when i get 2 net throught windows 98 O.S. & if i connect yahoo messenger by fraction of minutes a window pops up that this program has done illegal program & it will be shutted down.
Then messenger will automatically vanishes.

for anyone who's been having problems running Yahoo IM with windows 2000 and has been getting a "ypgager.exe has generated errors and will be closed by window" The way i got it to work was to go into task manager and in the process tab, and end the rundll32.exe process. then start YahooIm should be no conflictions.

When you download a file from the net..it doesn't usually load a DLL file. Maybe when you're RUNNING it not DOWNLOADING it.
To answer everyone's question. Yahoo messenger is buggy and those errors are very common. Try reading Yahoo messenger website faqs. Only thing you can do is change IM client which supports Yahoo servers or just keep getting their latest versions and hope its less buggy.
I'm new to this forum but people should not repeat questions I heard you the first time.

maybe i can help you withe the DLL errors.
i had the same problem and i searched by google.com some solution and i think i found it.
on some site of some wacko guy i found complete install packages. it installs normally as if you had the program on your computer (not uses internet download).

you should download the version that is on the top of the list as it is the latest version!

Here is what you do without downloading different versions, etc. This is a problem with the automatic launch of the install program. If you go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Installs and click on ymsgrie.exe it will install properly.
