I am actually cleaning up a coworkers home computer. Her modem is not being identified. It is there, I already verifyed this using hyperterminal connecting using COM 3.
However, it is not setup. That is one problem. The other one is when I try to activate the hardware wizard by clicking on it the cursor does an hourglass for about a second and thats it. The wizard does not appear as if nothing happened.

I tried using the device manager, however, it runs on a CHM file and they are not responding either. Separate problem I think.

All in all, I have cleaned the system to the best of my ability, but I think it is still compromised. I think someone was using the computer online and was hijacked taking away their admin privledges but that's a guess.

I cannot reinstall the system as she does not have or does not know where the installation disks are. And system restore is no good as I turned it off during the clean.

Any ideas?
