Trojan horse in Restore

Hello. My AVG detected a trojan horse and was able to remove all components except for the one in RESTORE. From reading on here before I have learned to disable restore to get to it but I can't remember how to disable the restore and then turn it back on. Could you help me with this? Thanks alot.

Sure Pat, here ya go (two techniques, depending on your OS) :
Disable System Restore in XP
Disable System Restore in Win ME
