Hello mieyb, i was on this page recently and yourself and mark helped me through a couple things, i did end up doing a format in the end when you fellows seemed to run short of ideas, i just wanted to say thanks for trying. Now I do have another question i think i sorted out on my own but would just like an opinion. When i did the format of my daughters machine i loaded in the zone alarm freebee with anti virus, i got it off major geek. Whenever the splash page came up and she x'd out on the application, she got a fatal error, why would that have been? So i unloaded it and just put the firewall up the problem seems to have gone away, any idea what was going on there. Just for a little info i had loaded in norton 2002 andchecked off in the zone alarm with antivirus not to run the virus end of it, could that have been the problem?

I have an idea Bill, just a question tho.. have you downloaded SP2 for XP?

To answer that question I am not entirely sure, it was on her win 98 system. I on the other hand loaded it to my own machine which does have xp.
