I can't tell if this is a virus or spyware. I had spyware on my computer but sucessfully removed it (or so i believe). I have been spending hours on end trying to figure out where my icons have gone. I can acess anything on the desktop that is a program but upon entering any folder the icons are gone. I have tried switching it too show hidden files. i cannot even search out a file, or find them by opening explore. The status bar say that the files are there but they cannot be seen for some reason. has anyone had this problem or have any idea that i havent tried (no matter how obvious). I have tried HJT, CWShredder, Ad-aware, McAfee, showing hidden files, explore, and searching for individual files. Please help.
