When i boot up all goes ok but as soon as i try to access a program or a folder shortcut the pc freezes then the screen goes blank, no taksbar or anything just my desktop background. this also happens when i use forefox and wmp. This happens about 3 times then all seems to be ok. except that i cannot access some programs like spywareguard wont fire up.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to rectify this problem without doing a system restore?
