I am having trouble with windows XP, when I signed in today, it was as if i was signing in for the first time. All the settings and the my documents file were erased and many things won't run. is this caused by something in my HGT log?
Thanks again.

I have also noticed that mozilla is as it was when I first installed it and all my bookmarks (including imported IE favorites) are gone.

An other thing I have noticed is that my hjt log is MUCH smaller than it usually is. just to let you know.

Hi Timoi,

one that I have no information is :

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PROCGREAT] C:\DOCUME~1\tous\APPLIC~1\thatpuresurf\BookOpen.exe

If you could submit BookOpen.exe to kaspersky. It will only take a minute:

http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus

Use browse to find, then submit.

I do not know what that is.

I seem to be unable to submit annythng in the applic~1(applications I presume) directory. this folder is not in the list of things that i can submit when I click browse. I have tried to copy/paste the directory you have posted above but it doesn't seem to work. It says 'Please insert a file name for scanning and try again.'

Still another thing I have noticed is that whenever I try to open a program, this blasphemy.killercarrot.co.uk page tries to open (it does not succeed, IE opens and I get a message saying that 'blasphemy.killercarrot.co.uk could no be found. Please chenk the name and try again'). I usually try to use mozilla to go browsing but this is an automatic thing so it is programmed to go under IE I presume.

Anti-SpyWare: add-aware (gone from start menu and desk
Anti-Virus: norton and online ones
Browser: mozilla
Firewall: norton
OS: Win XP
