Hey guys,

Sorry to bother. I tried the suggested fixes using Hijack This...and they seemed to work...but it keeps coming back! I don't understand Safe Mode. Is that the key? Thanks!

Hey Geoff. Safe Mode is needed to delete your hijacker. No biggie. First, run HijackThis! again, and check to fix the following entries (close all other running applications) and click on "Fix checked" :

O2 - BHO: . - {D34F08C5-4F18-477c-86CB-1A9BEECFE37B} - C:\Documents and Settings\Geoff Karren\Application Data\winjk\winjk32.dll

O4 - Global Startup: winlogin.exe

You need to follow instructions here in order to See hidden files and folders. Once done, follow this other link to Reboot your computer in Safe Mode. Now, do a file search for winlogin.exe and delete it (CAREFUL : do NOT delete winlogon.exe). next, locate and delete this folder :

C:\Documents and Settings\Geoff Karren\Application Data\winjk <<< this one

Reboot normally. Scan with HijackThis! once more, and post a fresh log. Good luck !
