I was d/l a document wallpaper and it.And it turned out to be nasty and now it wont delete. Or it wont let me change the name n e help on how to delete

if it wont uninstall from you using your add/and remove program.. then look in your windows file. search for it or for the icon related to it and delete.good luck

Its not a program its a nasty pic.I didnt know it was. When I go into my doc and go to delete it it says the file name is invalid or too long. So i tryed to change it that wouldnt work either it said the file name was too long. So its not a program its a picture in my documents.

if this is wall paper that you down loaded follow these steps.. (may vary a bit on different O/S's but same general idea)
1) right click on the desktop screen (not on any icons)
2) Choose properties.
3) choose background on the tabs at top (usually first one)
4) change the picture in the white box at the bottom.
-- if you mean just delete the file in general and already have it off of the background -- then go to where to file is and hold down the shift key while hitting delete on that file.. this will keep it from asking to delete and just delete it right out.

Elika-- I just had the same problem, and Mike's solution doesn't work. Here's what you do. Create a new folder on your desktop. Move all the contents in the folder that has the file with the long file name (except the file with the long name) into this new folder. Now there'll only be the long-named file in the original folder. Now delete the folder. Move the new folder into the spot where the old folder was and chage the name to the old folder name if desired. Good luck.

I've had the same bad pic experience yesterday and your tip just worked right for me. Now if I have to download something, it goes into a separate "download" file I've created.

i had the exact same problem but my file is an icon on my desktop and i cant delete it or move it any where how do i get rid of it??

Bad download my a@@. Ya'll were surfing porn and now that you're caught have to come up with this innocent act. Believe me, not only do your wife's not belive you, but the tech you take your system to in order to get it fixed will only laugh at you once you walk out the door.
