I suspect you installed the newest version of Ad-aware over an older one. With some programs, that's OK, but apparently not this one.

Do a custom uninstall of Ad-aware, clicking "select all" at each window. Then re-install the latest version. That did the trick for me.

"Aawhelper.dll" is a file that Ad-aware is supposed to install ... but apparently it can't do so when there's already a previous version of Ad-aware present.

I'm getting the error of missing Aawhelper.dll as well. I've always been great about finding DLLs on the internet and getting them on my computer without having to re-install everything. The reason I am putting Adaware on my system is because I keep getting a C++ runtime error for explorer.exe and it keeps wanting to close explorer and every website that is up with it. The only options for the adaware I just tried downloading were for different language supports. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...
