cant defrag | pls help

when i try to defrag my hard drive after a few sec a message appears on my screen saying: ScanFat: Scan Aborted - Fatal Error - File:\\?Volume{16ad9790-8252-11d6-a7c4-806d6172696}\WINNT\Tasks\SA.DAT and when i click on "OK" it stops defragment please help

cant defrag it starts and may go to 1% and then goes back to 0 scandisk seems ok just the defrag.

Try defragging it in safe mode, I found that solved th problem of the last poster.. however XP doesn;t have that prob.. Also, I would just download Norton Utilities and run speed disk, which is basically the same thing cept prettier ;) and its free for a year.
