imesh sucks, this took me the whole day to fix. here is how to uninstall this with xp. this is what i did- you need to use startman and you can get it at pac's portal on the internet. then, reinstall imesh, and don't register. use startman[ it'll let you close out programs] and close[by checking the little checkboxes off and clicking apply] ez stub, babeie and the fg something or other[it's for gator]. then control, alt, delete and end process -ttil_i~1exe. Then use add \remove programs and take out imesh using the CUSTOM, NOT automatic uninstall. Take out ALL of the selections that are shown. Then use add\ remove the imesh add support and IT should delete okay now. then you need to get adaware if you don't already have it and run it,making sure you backup when it asks you to. delete all adaware. Go into system restore and turn it off and then reboot. when it boots back up create a restore point, and you should be fairly okay. there are a couple of things that i still can't delete but i think they are being used by other programs. don't delete them, because i did and really screwed it up at one point. don't ever put imesh on again as long as you own a computer. i know this is a long process but it worked for me.

Then use it, making sure you backup when it asks you to.(there should be about 40 - 60 spywares from imesh). delete them all. Go into system restore (program files/system tools/system restore; click on system restore settings) and turn it off and then reboot. when it boots back up turn system restore back on the same way u turned it off. create a restore point, and you should be fairly okay. there are a couple of things that i still can't delete but i think they are being used by other programs. don't delete them, because i did and really screwed it up at one point. don't ever put imesh on again as long as you own a computer. i know this is a long process but it worked for me. it should go fairly quickly if u use this process.

Uninstall Imesh then run gator uninstall(works automatically a few minutes after U uninstall Imesh and ALL other gator stuff) then delete the c:/windows/Imesh folder and U will now be able to ADD/REM ad support!

NEVER EVER intall i-mesh. It screws up your system and make it run really slow, and it's a pain to remove.

Do not try to uninstall the spyware bundled with imesh kazaa and the like manually. They attemt to take over lots of you resources. You need to download either adaware or spybot search and destroy to clean out the hidden files and processes.

The Best Way To Fix this problem as was mentioned here is by using "spybot search and destroy" software, it will fix the slowness.

I had the same problem with imesh, but if you open the task manager, you will see that an aplication named "winnet.exe" is ocuping almost the whole memory. Search this file and you'll find it in a folder: "program files/common names" then delete this folder and your problem will be solved.

Have you tried uninstalling winnet in safe mode?

Or you can run msconfig (windows start menu, run, type in msconfig) this will bring up a pop up menu. Under the startup tab(right hand side), there will be winnet, just remove the tick by the name to stop it loading at windows startup.
Then restart the computer and you should be able to uninstall it.

I use adaware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ or other spy ware (if i still have a problem i use the manual method from http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/IGetNet.html
though i recommend a newbie be supervised while working with regedit and dos.)
