Help me get rid of http://?%20

Hello! Something creepy has entered my computer, and seems to have hijacked my browser. What happens is that web sites take incredibly long to load, sometimes taking minutes. Sometimes, basic URLs like http://www.yahoo.com , http://www.icq.com (whoa I just tried it right now and americansingles.com opened instead of icq.com)
Creepy!

Well, I noticed something. When I type in a random bogus site like www.zxwyxzoq.com , instead of getting the Internet Explorer bar I should be getting, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" message instead, and the address bar displays a http:///?%20 before whatever URL I was trying to go to. What IS this?! If you ask me, I'd say it was something creepy.

So I did a bit more sniffing around;I typed that into Google to see what I could find. I found this one thread that confirmed that it was indeed some sort of DNS/Browser hijack. (WHEEE! Just what I need!) It did make note of five easy .reg repair files. I ran them and they seem to have installed. The problem is that they didn't do anything that I could see.

Well, I'm open for suggestion.. How do I get rid of this so I don't have to brew coffee while waiting for every web page to open, and deal with more popups than I can manage?

Cheers,

mousepaws
