Give us an idea of the history preceeding this event. What programs did you have open at the time?
What did you try to do just before the exception? For example were you trying to print, or enter data, or ??

An exception error has occurred at 0028:0017 in vxd---. This was called from 0028:C001C004 in vxd NDIS(01)+ 004620. It may be possible to continue.
Can someone tell me what this message is, or why it appears on a blue screen on my computer. The message seems to only appear when I am downloading music from winmx.com. Then the error causes my computer to run slow and my system doesn't shut down properly it hangs leaving a message saying Windows Is Shutting Down. The error just started after I changed from a dial-up modem, to cable internet. I have Windows 98SE, and a linksys network card. I know someone can help me
