Mall Tycoon 2 problems..

There is this XP computer i'm working with and I was asked to install mall tycoon 2, however anytime I go to run it, it dumps me right back to the desktop almost immediately. Any and all suggestions are welcome, i've reinstallled this many times after full uninstall, so i'm out of answers.

Ever since I installed Mall Tycoon II, my computer crashes in the middle of other applications, such as Adobe Photo Deluxe, Excel, Word, etc. It happens about 4 times a day, when the computer is in use. Anyone else having this problem with Mall Tycoon II? Know what to do?

I can't get into the game when I press Play it tries but then I end up back at my desktop I tried downloading the ptach for the graphic card and it did nothing. Any other ideas?
